Lawyers to settle disputes amicably: SC Registrar informed

The Registrar Supreme Court was informed on Thursday by a lawyer of the referring authority Arif Chaudhry that in order to maintain good relations among the lawyers community and to avoid the recurrence of unpleasant incidents like the one under inquiry, in future there is a need to sit together and resolve these issues amicably.
However, to enable the lawyers community to reach settlement, with consensus the proceedings were adjourned to April 07. Earlier, on the inquiry proceedings initiated on the application of advocate Dr Khalid Ranjha, Mustafa Kandwal, Malik Asif Taufeeq, Khurram Kiyani and Rai Muhammad Nawaz Kharal Advocates appeared before the Registrar, in pursuance of the notice issued to them on April 04.
Besides, Muhammad Akram Chaudhry and Abdul Rehman Lodhi, Advocates, Raja Khalid Ismail, President and Shehbaz Rajpoot, Joint Secretary Rawalpindi Bar Association, Syed Kalb-e-Hassan, Member Pakistan Bar Council, Sanaullah Zahid, Zafar Mehmood Mughal, Atiq-ur-Rehman Kiyani, Members Punjab Bar Council were also present.
Arif Chaudhry, Advocate Supreme Court informed that Dr Khalid Ranjha was not available, as he was busy in Lahore. Advocate Arif Chaudhry stood agreed with the office bearers, that to maintain good relations among the lawyers’ community and to avoid the recurrence of unpleasant incidents like the one under inquiry in future, there is a need to sit together and resolve these issues amicably.
